Mozy Backup

OK, I was one of those who new better yet didn't practice what he preached. As an IT professional I know the importance of not just backing up but making sure that those backups are not on the same site. Umm, yeah... not on the same site, this is where I segue into where my backup drive got hosed when a pipe burst in my house.

Oh, and that backup drive was right next to my PC. Double whammy!

Fast forward and I am now using Mozy's backup service. It just works. Fast, reliable and doesn't get in my way. It is totally worth the $5 a month to be able to go nuts and backup everything. The unlimited storage is a nice touch.

Do yourself a favor and start backing up

I've used it to recover files and it is just like going to your hard drive. There is a drive right in "My Computer" that takes you to your storage space where you can easily recover a lost file.

I've even got my wife setup with it. She's worse than me. She knows better but wasn't backing up until I put Mozy on her computer. I'm glad it was my computer that got hosed. I don't think I could've dealt with the drama if all the family pictures where lost.

Get on over to Mozy and make sure you don't lose anything important
